In honor of it being november i am posting a contest again here are the rules you make teams of blogging parties e.g. mom and dad with grandma and grandpa vs. jordan and matt with jj and lewis what happens is i post a picture and the team who can get as much info on that picture in a day wins that round e.g picture of a t-rex. info: t-rexes lived in montna and alberta canada and were probaly scavengers like vultures blah blah. Kurt made it to Timbuktu!

I finally made it to Timbuktu. It is a small town in central Mali, founded by a woman named Buktu who had a well at which the caravans crossing the Sahara stopped. In the local Tuareg language, a well is a "Tim", thus Buktu's well is "Tim Buktu." One photo is of me with a Tuareg at the tim and one of Timbuktu's three mosques.

Not knowing what else to do with my travel journal writings and musings, I have started my blog at kriegertravels.blogspot.com. Let me know what you think.
